Here at MTM, we realize the importance for you as a foreign company to find the right help when wanting to expand your business through global trade – whether importing or exporting from or to the U.S. However, in such a large and complex business economy like the U.S. market, you do not only need the right help but you need excellent in-country representation, all the time. We understand the many difficult challenges that can arise in any U.S.–Foreign trade transaction in which you would have to confront but with MTM standing by you and representing you, you would not have to face them alone and without proper support. See, we do not consider ourselves just as an American company but a global and international firm whose priority it is to recognize your needs from your point of view as our client and fully represent your interest here in the U.S.
Let us work together to design the perfect global trade service plan specifically for your company to reach its greatest potential here in the U.S. market.
Foreign Client Services
*These are services MTM offers its foreign clients who are wanting to enter the U.S. market at a substantial level with representation.
- Market Entry Readiness Evaluation – this is comprised of a 3-step process: 1) The Initial Consultation, 2) The Evaluation, and 3) The After-Action Report
1. The Initial Consultation – this is a preliminary meeting that allows for introductions between MTM and you as a potential client, for us to provide a brief questionnaire to learn more about your company and its proposed needs, and for MTM to inform you of what services we could possibly provide moving forward helping you in global trade.
2. The Evaluation – this is an in-depth evaluation measuring your company’s readiness and abilities to conduct international and/or global trade. Here, at this stage, our expert assessors thoroughly evaluate your associated department(s), personnel, procedures, processes (including digital, electronic and computer equipment – hardware and software), and protocols designated to global trade operations.
3. The After-Action Report – this is an action-driven report that is presented to your strategic team notifying them of the findings of our evaluators/assessors during The Evaluation and suggestions of recommended changes. The intent of the AAR is to inform the executives and your strategic team of the possible deficiencies in the different segments evaluated and provide a recommended corrective action plan to address the deficiencies.
US. Based Representation
With MTM as your expert team in the U.S., we can make sure you have the peace of mind you deserve knowing that you are effectively represented. Our U.S. Based Representation gives your company as our foreign client a virtual presence (access) in the U.S. market along with MTM’s expertise in global trade and international business, and our firm’s full support behind you.
Some of the benefits of this service are: 1) To provide you effective representation in places where you might not be able to attend personally, however, not missing out on key opportunities and events, 2) To help you navigate the complex business landscape of the U.S. market with much easier inroads to global trade success, and 3) To advocate on your behalf when you encounter possible issues and challenges in global trade helping you overcome them.
Areas of Representation
- Working with U.S. government and non-profit agencies and entities
- U.S. Trade Shows
- Locating potential clients
- Client contract negotiations
- Counterparts and partners facilitation
- Distributors and Suppliers interactive management
The 3 different methods in which MTM can represent you are: 1) As an Intermediary (MTM operating on its own behalf), 2) As your Company Representative, or 3) As your dedicated Sales Representative/Agent
1. Intermediary (as MTM)
Intermediary – Sometimes the hardest issue you face is spending enormous amounts of time, energy and money entering a competitive overseas market like the U.S. and then trying to find the right company to do business with. We are here to help by doing the in-country groundwork and due diligence on your potential clients - distributors or suppliers - and then providing a few select companies for B2B meetings of your choosing pre-vetted by us.
Negotiator – There are moments when you may want to present a strong and united home team presence by having an in-country representative to assist in leveling the playing field on contract negotiations. Whether we act in a subordinate role assisting you in contract negotiations, or you elect to have MTM to conduct the full negotiations, we can add value to your transaction with U.S. buyers, suppliers, or distributors.
2. Company Representative
Liaison – Since communications can break down especially in overseas ventures where distance and time zone differences are a factor, you need a representative that can make up the gaps (distance and time) with immediate responses and work securely on your behalf when you can’t. We are uniquely positioned to perform that service for you, building long term trust with your clients.
Negotiator – Again, assisting in leveling the playing field on contract negotiations, MTM can strongly represent you whether acting in a subordinate role or on your behalf adding value to your global transaction.
3. Sales Representative/Agent
Agent – You have made the decision to enter the U.S. market but you want to keep a firm focus on your domestic market while your company is growing and increasing revenue. However, you want to also follow up on the opportunities and your new interest in expanding to the U.S. market. You know you will probably need a dedicated team with the expert knowledge in that market to handle all the details – we are here to do just that.
